Electrical Design Platform Developer -Traction Transformer

Your responsibilities:

• The successful candidate will be part of the Transformer technology center in Vadodara, IN, but work on global projects and organizations.
• Be the communication channel between engineering teams, R&D teams on Traction transformers, and the design tool development teams (technical standard realization and software development).
• Develop traction transformer electrical design software. This includes testing, debugging, validation, implementation, and documentation (user manual, technical standards, and implementation).
• Continually update or create the implementation and user manual documentation suitably and sustainably.
• In an agile team and in a stimulating multi-cultural environment that encourages professional development, you will quickly assume part of the electrical design tool implementation of our traction transformer used globally.
• Understand the landscape of software applications that need to interact with the Design Systems and have the capability to foster communication by developing software solutions.
• Manage different tasks in the design project to handle interactions with further electrical tools as well as with mechanical design tools in order to improve the design process and the efficiency of the tool.
• Discuss with the local Hitachi Energy units Bug Reports and Change Requests. Then together with Design System manager decide on priorities and actions.
• Provide feedback and influence the global improvement projects with proposals of innovative solutions and ideas for design optimization and product development (with mechanical, standardization content).
• Collaborating by making available data ingestion techniques and AI applications into existing project frameworks, requiring creativity and adaptability
• Contribute to data ingestion processes and assist in the development of AI applications as part of ongoing project efforts

• Bachelor studies in Electrical Engineering, Software Development or IT with 3-5 years of experience.
• Electrical design knowledge, Transformer design skills would be a plus.
• Interest on AI and data ingestion process
• Software development (VBA, SQL, MatLab, python) and algorithms
• Good team player, flexible, pro-active, result oriented and work independently.
• Strong independent working skills, proactively generating questions and ideas for discussion while ensuring that discussions are timed appropriately.
• Willingness to travel and ability to interact with colleagues in different Hitachi Energy units
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
