Electrical Engineer Sr.

Hitachi Energy is seeking for a Senior Electrical Engineer for its Alamo, TN Location.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform various engineering tasks involving such functions as analysis, design, development, test, installation and service, while working from instructions, drawings, proposals, specifications, and other pertinent information.
• Prepare specifications and related documents in accordance with requirements, established formats and general instructions. Review and analyze a variety of engineering data, documents and reports.
• Consult with other engineering groups to ensure that specified engineering criteria are suitable for the proposed application, and recommend revisions, as appropriate.
• Participate in the investigation of technical problems and the establishment of procedures and corrective actions to avoid recurrences.
• General concentration of activities by allocating close to 40% of time on Customer-focus and Commercial Orders, about 30% on Product Care, and 30% on Operational Troubleshooting and Field Support.
• Assist senior Engineers to prepare the preparation of specifications, material and design selection, proposals for contracts, licensing and safety documents, and obtain required approvals.
• As required, develop 2-D and 3-D models of components and assemblies for prototype, production and retrofit builds, using state of the art CAD.
• Ability to learn basic numerical tolerance calculations and stack-up analysis.

• Bachelor's Degree in electrical, electromechanical or mechanical engineering or related field and 2 to 5 or more years of experience; alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
• Working experience with Pro-E or any 3D CAD modeling software, is highly desired but not required.
• Working experience with Windchill data management or any PLM software, is highly desired but not required.
• Preferably has some experience with developing electro-mechanical products (preferably with medium to high voltage power transformer bushings), is highly desired but not required.
