Electrical Engineering Co-Op

THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE A STUDENT TO BE IN ROLE FROM JULY TO DECEMBER 2023

Vicarious Surgical is seeking an Electrical Engineering Co-Op to join our team in Waltham, MA.

Vicarious Surgical is a next generation robotics company developing a disruptive technology with the goal of increasing the efficiency of surgical procedures, improving patient outcomes, and reducing healthcare costs.

Team Focus

As a part of the Electrical Engineering team, you will work on the controls, power, and sensing aspects of our robotic system. You will be working on sustaining, design, development, and testing of various robot subsystems.

Project Work

●  Execute and report on sustaining engineering projects that improve product reliability and cost, margin improvement, as well as new features and capabilities

●  Work with engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of electronic components into products

●  Support engineerings in designing electronic circuits and printed circuit boards (PCBs)

●  Model electronic components and circuits

●  Conduct verification testing of electrical devices and PCB assemblies

●  Design and development of electromechanical test fixtures

Skills Needed

●  Proficiency with basic electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, benchtop powersupplies)

●  Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals

●  Knowledge of basic schematic capture tools

About You

●  Must be available for 6 months and able to commute to Waltham, MA

●  Enrolled in an electrical engineering undergraduate or graduate program
