Electrical Estimator

KC Construction Services is a growing General Contractor in the DFW area with an electrical division and is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team. KC Construction Services has a strong reputation for quality work and a steady pipeline of projects. We are looking for an experienced Sr. Electrical Estimator who can take ownership of the bidding process and play a key role in driving continued growth. Responsibilities: - Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects - Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project requirements - Collaborate with project managers, engineer, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes - Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam to create comprehensive cost estimates - Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to determine project expenses - Identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings during the estimating process - Present cost estimates to clients and negotiate pricing as needed - Maintain accurate records of all estimating activities Skills: - Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and techniques - Proficiency in using estimating software such as Bluebeam and intellibid - Familiarity with construction management processes and procedures - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in calculations - Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts - Effective communication skills for collaborating with project teams and clients - Negotiation skills for pricing discussions with clients and subcontractors - Knowledge of cost control methods to ensure projects stay within budget Note: Experience in electrical construction estimating and familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) is a plus.
