Electrical Foreman – Utility-Scale Solar Projects (Travel Role: Illinois) Location:Multiple project sites across Illinois (100% travel required) Pay Rate:$60.00 – $100.00 per hour(depending on site location and experience) Rotation:Travel-based rotation schedule with designated home time Type:Full-Time Opportunity Licensing:Current Journeyman Electrician License required (any U.S. state) Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and licensedElectrical Foremanto lead electrical operations onutility-scale solar construction projectsacross various sites in Illinois. The ideal candidate will have aminimum of 5 years’ experience supervising electrical crewsof 10–12 members and possess deep knowledge of NEC, medium voltage systems, and solar field installation standards. This is atravel-intensive role, and candidates must be flexible to rotate through multiple project sites with scheduled home time. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise, coordinate, and lead field electrical crews (10–12 electricians and apprentices) • Oversee trenching, conduit installation, cable pulls, grounding, combiner box, and inverter terminations • Ensure work is performed according to NEC codes, utility interconnection standards, and site-specific plans • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce all OSHA regulations and site safety policies • Review and interpret electrical blueprints, single-line diagrams, and specifications • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and QA/QC inspectors • Maintain crew productivity, material planning, and jobsite logistics • Mentor junior electricians and enforce quality control during all installation phases • Submit daily reports, crew logs, and progress updates to management Requirements: • Journeyman Electrician License (active and current – any U.S. state accepted) • Minimum 5 years’ experience supervising field crewson solar or commercial/industrial electrical projects • Strong understanding of utility-scale PV systems, switchgear, inverters, and AC/DC circuits • Proficient in reading blueprints and managing field documentation • Ability to travel 100% of the time and work in various outdoor site conditions • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills Compensation & Perks: • Competitive hourly wage:$60.00 to $100.00/hour(based on project location and scope) • Rotational travel schedule with structured home time • Lodging and per diem may be provided based on site-specific agreements • Opportunity for long-term project assignments and advancement Apply Today!
