Electrical Helper/Apprentice

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and eager Apprentice Electrician to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical trade while working under the guidance of experienced electricians. The Apprentice Electrician will assist in various electrical projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial installations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Duties • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. • Work alongside skilled electricians to learn and apply electrical principles and techniques. • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements. • Participate in troubleshooting electrical issues using ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools. • Gain experience in low voltage and high voltage systems under supervision. • Follow National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines to ensure compliance with safety standards. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites. • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Requirements • Previous experience as an industrial or commercial electrician is preferred but not mandatory. • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment is essential. • Basic understanding of electrical concepts, including low voltage, high voltage, and NEC regulations. • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation accurately. • Experience on construction sites is a plus; knowledge of frame carpentry is beneficial. • Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn from experienced professionals. • Must be able to work well in a team environment while also demonstrating initiative. • A commitment to safety practices in all aspects of work.
