Their mission is to deliver high-quality engineering and construction services to semiconductor facilities on time and within budget while upholding safety, quality, and environmental standards. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Journeyman Electrician at SemiConX. The Electrician will be located at one of the semiconductor facilities in Austin, TX depending upon availability. Qualifications • Experience: There are currently four (4) levels of positions that SemiConX offers depending upon experience in the trade and if the candidate carries an applicable State Journeyman’s License. • Electrical Installations:Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, conduits, lighting, and control systems in commercial, and industrial settings. • System Troubleshooting:Diagnose electrical issues and malfunctions using testing equipment such as multimeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters. • Blueprint Interpretation:Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical codes to plan and execute projects. • Code Compliance:Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety standards. • Equipment Maintenance:Inspect electrical components such as transformers, circuit breakers, and panel boards to ensure proper functioning. • Safety Procedures:Follow strict safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, to ensure a safe working environment. • Collaboration:Work with other professionals, including engineers and contractors, to complete projects on time and within budget. • Emergency Repairs:Respond to emergency service calls to troubleshoot and fix electrical problems promptly. • Inventory Management:Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory required for the job. • Training & Mentorship:Assist in training apprentices and junior electricians. • Documentation:Complete work orders, logs, and reports detailing services performed and materials used. • Using math: Using math skills like algebra, geometry, and trigonometry to guide electrical work • Communicating: Demonstrating verbal and written communication abilities • Working in a team: Working well in a team environment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Vision insurance License/Certification: • Driver's License and Social Security Card (Required) Ability to Commute: • Austin, TX 78758 (Required) Work Location: In person
