TITLE:ElectricianWAGE/HOUR STATUS:Non-ExemptREPORTS TO:Coordinator of MaintenancePAY GRADE:OS08DEPT./SCHOOL:Service Center/MaintenanceDATE REVISED:September, 2023 JOB GOAL: To lead the electrical team as they maintain facilities, lighting and electrical equipment in such a manner that no disruption occurs to the instructional program.. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Graduate or General Equivalency Diploma Valid Texas Driver’s License5 years’ experience as an Electrician Ability to work with tools and a basic understanding of building maintenance Knowledge and skills necessary to install maintain and repair electrical systems. Master Electrician license prefered, Journeyman Electrical license required. Such alternatives to the above qualifications the administration finds appropriate and acceptable MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Installs, maintain and repair electrical equipment and wiring systems 2. Installs, maintain and repair lighting and emergency lighting systems. 3. Maintain and repair bleacher operators and controllers. 4. Maintain and repair overhead door operators and controllers 5. Maintain and repairs scoreboards 6. Maintain and repair appliances. 7. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and systems. 8. Utilize maintenance management system to receive and complete work orders. Accurately record labor and materials costs in accordance with Department Policy and goals. (Time on Task, days to complete) Maintain inventory of parts and tools assigned utilizing the inventory module of the maintenance management system. Fill out District forms and maintains electronic time keeping records in compliance with District and Department policy. 9. Assist other maintenance personnel as needed and directed by Supervisor. 10. Performs other duties as the superintendent or designee may assign. EQUIPMENT USED: Hand tools, electrical tools, operates light truck, bucket truck, pneumatic lift, utilize safety equipment and clothing as required by District. WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands:Reading; ability to perform basic arithmetic; understand verbal and written instructions; ability to get along with other workers. Physical Demands:Continual walking and standing, climbing, stooping, bending and reaching; heavy lifting and carrying. Ability to operate a motor vehicle (light truck). Work outside and inside; work around machinery with moving parts; work around moving objects and vehicles. Work on ladders and scaffolding. Exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, odors and slippery or uneven walking surfaces. Exposure to mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: The Electrician Supervisor position works first shift, 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week for twelve (12) months (260 days) and is paid twice per month. Salary established by the Board. The Electrician Supervisor shall take a regular turn in the Maintenance Department’s On-Call program, up to 13 weeks per year. EVALUATION: Evaluation of job performance is a continuous process designed to improve the quality of work performed. Performance evaluations shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of policies pertaining to Evaluation of AuxiliaryPersonnel.
