Electrician- Panel Builder

Job Title:Electrician – Panel Builder & Machine Wiring Location: Wood Dale, IL Employment Type:Contract-to-Hire Pay Rate: Up to $32/hr Position Overview: A growing industrial machinery manufacturer in the Wood Dale area is seeking an experienced Electrician to assist with control panel builds and machine wiring on custom automated equipment. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential and competitive pay. Key Responsibilities: • Assemble and wire control panels based on schematics and layout drawings • Perform point-to-point wiring on machinery, including motors, sensors, VFDs, HMIs, and PLCs • Read and interpret electrical blueprints and panel layouts • Troubleshoot and resolve wiring and component issues during assembly and testing • Work closely with mechanical and electrical teams to ensure machines are built to specification • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment • Follow all company safety policies and procedures Qualifications: • 3+ years of industrial electrical or panel wiring experience • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams • Familiarity with UL508a panel standards (preferred) • Strong understanding of electrical components such as relays, contactors, breakers, VFDs, and PLCs • Experience wiring custom machinery or automation equipment is highly desired • Comfortable using hand tools, crimpers, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment • High attention to detail and quality workmanship Details: • Contract-to-Hire with opportunity for long-term employment • Hourly pay up to $32/hr based on experience • Day shift – standard hours with occasional overtime available • Located in Wood Dale, IL If you enjoy hands-on electrical work, building complex systems from the ground up, and being part of a team that brings machines to life — this role is for you. #inauto
