What You Will Do:
- Support the acquisition of one of our country's most advanced new weapons platforms in this key functional role.
- Using your electromagnetic environment effects (EEE) engineering knowledge and experience to design, conduct, and document tests in the areas of: direct and indirect lightning susceptibility, conducted and radiated emission susceptibility, transient susceptibility, electromagnetic compatibility, electromagnetic interference, electromagnetic pulses, electrical bonding and grounding, hazards of electromagnetic radiation to personnel, fuel and ordnance, and EEE safety margins for electro explosive devices
- Assist with execution of the USAF Airworthiness process per MIL-HDBK-516 and the AF Life-Cycle Systems Engineering (LCSE) and Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E) processes.
- Support requirements development, allocation, and verification
- Support review and evaluation of weapon system design, analyses, and verification documentation and reports
- Gather and develop technical and business data necessary to build and, as required, present program briefs
- Support program meetings, working groups, and technical and business reviews as needed
- Analyze equipment and software performance deficiencies and make recommendations for corrective actions
- Support development of contract and documentation changes and updates
- Support source selections in a technical advisory role as requested
What You Will Need:
- An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance
- Bachelors' degree in engineering or mathematics or related science
- A team player attitude with the willingness to roll up your sleeves and ensure the success of the mission.
- Minimum of 25 years of relevant Department of Defense (DoD) experience with ten (10) of these years in in government or industry leadership roles on major ACAT I aircraft development programs with at least two (2) years SAP experience accrued within the last four (4) years
- EEE engineering knowledge and experience evaluating MIL-HDBK-516 Section 13 on ACAT I or equivalent aircraft development programs
- Five or more years of experience performing EEE airworthiness evaluations
- EEE lab/test experience; knowledge of DO-160, MIL-STD 461 and MIL-STD 464
- Expert knowledge of the EEE airworthiness certification process
- Five (5) years in an acquisition program office on an ACAT I or II DoD program.
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI federal security clearance.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET federal security clearance
- FOUR (4) years' experience in a SAP and/or SCI environment within the last FIVE (5) years
