Job Duties include the following, other duties may be assigned: Performs Neurological Technical Procedures for the Deaconess Health System:This includes using a variety of instruments for recording EEG, Evoked Potential, 10M and EMG/NC studies. These procedures are performed in the department and at bedside, in O.R.at multiple locations within Deaconess Health System. Performs instrument maintenance: This involves performing various instrument checks and calibrations to insure accuracy. Participates in departmental and hospital performance improvement teams as appropriate. Complies with Standards of Employee Conduct and promotes a patient safety culture. Experience in EEG and/or Evoked Potential preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Basic Life Support Certification required; maintain/recertify every two years Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight and measurement. Reasoning Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills This job requires computer and systems competency by entering and retrieving data. Maintains confidentiality of data.
