We are looking for an Electronic Technician to support development of industry leading agriculture technology products in a fast paced and highly collaborative environment working with teams at multiple sites around the world.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for helping build, test, trouble-shoot, repair and modify prototype hardware and production test equipment
  • Responsible for supporting prototype electronic hardware and software integration and validation testing as defined by the engineering department
  • Work as a team player with all the other members of the Irrigation Engineering Department
  • Perform tasks related to 120 to 480 VAC circuitry, PLC's, VHF and Spread Spectrum radios
  • Analyze electronic prototype hardware and telemetry systems as well as assist with the construction, installation, testing, trouble-shooting, repair and modification of the same
  • Make modifications based on direction from design engineers
  • Construction and maintenance of product test equipment and procedures

Requirements
  • Associate's degree in electricity or related field
  • The ability to work at an elevated height of ten feet
  • Experience with 120 to 480 VAC circuitry- a must!
  • Proficiency using oscilloscopes, multi-meters and soldering irons
  • A strong working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Very High Frequency (VHF), Ultra High Frequency (UHF) and Spread Spectrum radios
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the year
  • Passion for this field.
  • Ability to interface effectively, both written and verbal, with internal customers
  • Work effectively alone and as a member of a team within various functional areas of the division
  • Acceptable attendance and performance record
  • Must be highly self-motivated with a 'can-do' attitude
  • Demonstrated accuracy in working with information in a very fast paced environment is mandatory.

Nice to Have:
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electronic Technology
  • At least one year related electronic technician experience
  • Experience using National Instruments LabVIEW software
  • Experience using variable-frequency drives (VFD)
  • Previous work experience with mechanized irrigation equipment
