Electronics Hardware Engineer
Job Description
Fluidra’s looking for an Electronics Hardware Engineer to join our team at our west coast office in Carlsbad, CA.
WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
In this role, you will be joining an international company as a member of the Global VI DtV team. You will work side-by-side with engineers, sourcing specialists, purchasing people and manufacturing sites to identify Value Improvement opportunities. You will be able to learn from our product specialists and apply your knowledge and experience to make a difference. We emphasize that we are looking for a team player with good interpersonal skills, who is self-motivated. Additionally, you will:
- Work with VI Team to develop concepts for design to improve the overall value of Fluidra products in America.
- Work with VI Team to perform purposeful product teardowns, supplier assessment, electronic components availability search and project management.
- Work with suppliers to ensure project goals are met and to resolve any engineering issues.
- Become the key member of the Value Improvement Engineering team for electronics and power supply components.
- Develop and document the best possible cost for electrical and electronic components.
- Analyze Fluidra products to understand how they work and how the different functions can be done in a simpler and more cost-effective way
WHAT WE SEEK
- 7 or more years of Electronic Hardware or electro-mechanical engineering experience
- Extensive knowledge of various types of Electrical, Electronics and electro-mechanical components and their use in product designs.
- Knowledge of PCBA components, PCBA manufacturing processes and electro-mechanical assemblies
- Exceptional root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to present with impact and clarity
- Proven track record of accomplished projects with increasing responsibilities.
- Design experience focusing on Value Analysis / Value Improvement of consumer products is also desirable.
- Analytical, flexible, and able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical, Electronics or Electro-Mechanical Engineering

Expected salary range is $100,000 - $135,000. Fluidra offers a comprehensive total rewards / benefits program that includes base salary, annual bonus based on performance of individual and company objectives, competitive 401K matching, paid vacation and sick time, full range of health benefits, educational assistance, etc. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
