ELECTRONICS PACKAGING ENGINEER - EL SEGUNDO, CA

As an Electronics Packaging Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing electronic packaging solutions for our revolutionary avionics system, FlightOS. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to deliver cutting-edge avionics solutions that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop innovative and robust packaging solutions for avionics electronic components, taking into consideration thermal management, vibration, shock, electromagnetic interference, and other environmental factors
• Collaborate with system designers to integrate electronic packaging solutions seamlessly into aircraft systems
• Identify appropriate materials for electronic packaging, considering factors such as weight, strength, thermal conductivity, and resistance to environmental conditions
• Plan and conduct thorough testing and validation of electronic packaging prototypes, analyzing their performance under various conditions and making necessary adjustments.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of electronic packaging designs, testing procedures, and validation results, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Perform other duties as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in electronic packaging design and development, preferably in the aviation or aerospace industry
• Proficiency with 3D Modeling Software (e.g.,Solidworks, CATIA, Creo) and simulation tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering,or related field
• 6+ years in electronic packaging design and development, preferably in the aviation or aerospace industry
• Professional Engineering License (PE) or equivalent certification
• Deep understanding of avionics systems and their integration into aircraft
• Familiarity with FAA compliance requirements
