The Sourcing Specialist develops, implements, and manages strategic sourcing plan for Electronics Commodity (including PCBAs, Cables & Harnesses and related electronic components) across all Life Fitness manufacturing sites, including the following functions:

• Support assigned New Product Development launch teams.
• Ensure Sourcing milestones are met in accordance with project development timeline.
• Identify and select suppliers that meet quality, delivery and cost goals in accordance with strategic sourcing plan and in collaboration with supplier quality engineering.
• Where applicable, engage preferred suppliers early in design phase to best align supplier capabilities with project goals.
• Manage/Negotiate supplier quotations and calculate landed costs; ensure projects meet targeted budget.
• Ensure all Purchasing/Sourcing deliverables are met through each product development phase within LF PACE process.
• Negotiate agreements, contracts, and blanket orders with strategic suppliers to achieve quality, price, and service objectives.
• Optimize number of suppliers amongst Life Fitness manufacturing sites; consolidate supply base to achieve commodity leverage opportunities in accordance to strategic sourcing plan.
• Assist in analyzing and managing process/product improvement plans targeted to improve cost/quality with key suppliers.
• Other project related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:

• B.S. in Business/Engineering or another related field.
• 3+ years' experience in Purchasing, Sourcing with proven project management, process design and integration.
• Must have experience with NPD and/or NPI processes.
• Must have category or commodity exposure with the following: Wire/Cable Harnesses, Power Cords, Filters, Switches, Rapid Prototype Houses, Plastics and PCB Assemblies.
• Familiarity with PPAP / Quality Qualification Processes and Lean Six Sigma Principles.
• Experience with financial analysis and recommendations on cost savings.
• Experience working in a global company environment.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
