Position Summary:

Cognosos seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join our Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for our field return/RMA processes, including performing unit level analysis and repair of field returns, maintaining service records and providing feedback to the engineering, operations and customer support teams. This position will also provide production and engineering support by building, testing, and troubleshooting products and ensuring that all products meet high quality standards.

Due to the nature of this role, the position will report into our Atlanta office. 

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot field returns to root cause and maintain internal RMA processes
  • Analyze field data to determine potential issues and improvements
  • Perform production testing and troubleshooting to meet product delivery schedules
  • Assemble or modify wireless products to support customer needs
  • Assist the production team to configure and ship product
  • Evaluate and improve production processes to maximize quality and efficiency
  • Operate in a dynamic team environment to support our customer’s needs 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • AS or BSEET or equivalent electronics technical training
  • 3+ years hands-on experience working in an electronics engineering, repair or production environment
  • Light assembly, test and repair of PCB assemblies or end products
  • IPC certified solder skills for SMT device repair of ROHS assemblies
  • Exhibits attention to detail by following assembly diagrams and test procedures for consistent quality and reliable results
  • Proficient using lab test tools such as oscilloscopes, RF test equipment, bench equipment
  • Comfortable using computers (spreadsheets, word, etc.) to document and present results
  • Exposure to quality systems and manufacturing process control is desired
  • Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot to the component level is a plus
  • Python programming or Linux skills are a plus
  • Experience with RF/wireless systems and concepts is beneficial
