The Electronics and Sensors Division (ESD) is a world-class engineering and scientific leader in electronics and remote sensing systems. Our staff includes subject matter experts across a broad range of disciplines including radio frequency; infrared; visible and spectral sensors; sensor exploitation methods; analog and digital electronics; vehicle power systems; and space system electronic parts, materials and processes. Our expertise, combined with sophisticated in-house laboratories, prototyping, modeling, and simulation capabilities, enables ESD to deliver innovative solutions to national space systems and civil customers.
What You'll Be Doing

• Carry out a series of engineering tasks under supervision and guidance primarily from immediate supervisor, project leaders, and/or other MTS professionals in the group
• Prepare data reports
• Maintain laboratory equipment inventory and assist in property audits. Ensure all equipment are in compliance with company requirements
• Document processes and procedures
• Use MS programs such as Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, Excel, and Teams to communicate and collaborate on projects
• Interface with component engineers, customers, and parts manufacturers

This position is available as an Electronics Technology Specialist I or Electronics Technology Specialist II
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
Electronics Technology Specialist I

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Typically Associate's Degree in a related discipline, or 2 or more years of relevant experience with High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with laboratory safety protocols
• Must work well in a team environment
• Must be detail oriented
• Must possess strong organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects at one time
• Effective interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal and external organizations
• Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to changing organizational needs
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work under minimal supervision, to self-initiate activities, and to work within timelines
• Must possess time management and project management skills
• Ability to use a computer to complete assignments.
• Ability to communicate with individuals and groups in person, by phone and telepresence.
• Occasionally lift electronic equipment.
• Laboratory environment with possible exposure to hazardous materials and high voltage.
• Ability to obtain an Active secret clearance - US Citizenship Required

How You Can Stand Out

• Experience in digital and analog circuitry
• Knowledge of electronic test setups for part screenings
• Hands on experience working with and testing electronic parts

Electronics Technology Specialist II

• Typically 3 or more years of relevant experience with Associate's Degree in a related discipline, or 5 or more years of relevant experience with High School Diploma or equivalent
• Same as above
