Email Developer

​​About the Role:

This role is for a Contract Email Developer who will provide temporary services to Hims & Hers on a 1099 basis. This is a 6-month contract for roughly 20 hours a week.

You will be responsible for hand-coding custom email templates in HTML/CSS and liquid logic ensuring high-quality and responsive email experiences for our users. You should have a keen eye for detail and the ability to accurately replicate complex figma designs in email code. You must be able to show specific work samples of organized high-quality HTML files for fully responsive and dynamic email templates.

You Will:

• Code HTML/CSS email templates for promotional transactional and triggered email campaigns.

• Manipulate and edit existing HTML/CSS email templates and template modules.

• QA emails across a variety of email clients (Gmail Outlook Apple Mail etc.) and devices to ensure consistent appearance and functionality.

• Ensure figma designs are accurately replicated in code and solve for design challenges like dark mode rendering.

• Utilize liquid logic to customize existing content blocks within email templates and create new content blocks to support a templatized modular design system and corresponding code library.

You Have:

• 2-3 years of experience in email development

• Experience optimizing email code across all devices and clients (including Outlook)

• Experience working within an existing design system and corresponding code snippet library.

• Experience coding complex email designs (i.e background images stacking elements on mobile devices fluid mobile responsive breakpoints etc)

• Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment

Nice to Have:

• Experience working within Braze

• Experience coding interactive email templates
