Email Marketing Manager
The Email Marketing Manager owns the highly successful email program for Filson by driving the strategy, creation, and execution of email. This collaborative cross team role is a leader who selects products, partners with creative design, measures and shares email performance. The role will use the Klaviyo ESP platform to continually improve the email customer experience and optimize the assorted KPIs to ensure the brand and value proposition are clearly communicated. You will test messaging, product focus, layout and voice, time of send and many other variables to optimize this agile and important marketing and revenue channel.
The successful candidate will be experienced in ecommerce email sending and will be a proven cross business communicator, have a history of innovation, demonstrate a history of ownership, and passionately monitor the email industry to adopt best practices and products. The role will be measured on a combination of efficient program management, creative coordination, inventory status awareness, but most importantly revenue generated, conversion increases and open rate.
Reporting to the strategy focused Ecommerce Manager this high profile role will be responsible for developing on brand, click compelling, and high converting emails of all types (promotional, in stock, event, etc). You will continually improve internal communication about product selection, inventory availability, and general KPI performance to a wide range of stakeholders. This role is fully integrated into the highly motivated, goal oriented, supportive, and innovative ecommerce team. Experience launching maintaining and growing a SMS program is a strong bonus, and provides opportunity for growth and increased ownership.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain Filson’s email calendar ensuring product and content timelines are on met through cross-functional team communication and processes.
- Develop creative briefs for email production to inform creative and content team priorities.
- Assist in developing email merchandising strategy to include revenue, customer acquisition, and retention programs.
- Work with editors and designers to develop email campaigns from basic brief to post send analysis.
- Partner to complete A/B testing, segmentation, and personalization, and other custom send types.
- Schedule and deploy near daily emails using Klaviyo.
- Documentation and analysis of email programs KPIs.
- Develop new processes and efficiencies in the production process, across product to creative teams.
- You should be a continually curious self-starter with a track record of leading fast moving agile projects.
- A demonstrated passion for content strategy and optimization within complex high growth environments.
- Bonus skill set includes experience with launching, maintaining, and growing a SMS marketing program.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-3+ years email marketing experience with consumer brands.
- Strong communicator and leader of cross team project management initiatives.
- Experience working with Klaviyo or similar ESP.
- History of understanding email analytics and transforming data into actionable knowledge.
- Highly detail oriented with complex campaign planning experience.
- Content strategy and optimization experience, bonus points for copywriting experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of Filson’s brand history product line.
- Experience working with Figma for basic graphic design mockups and concept communication.
- BA/BS in business, marketing, analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
