Position Summary

GSL is seeking an Email Marketing Specialist responsible for strategizing, executing, and optimizing marketing initiatives that support our corporate goals and contribute to the growth of our business. This role will create engaging multi-channel programs that generate leads, move prospects through the family journey and deepen our relationship with current enrolled families. This role will be responsible for the contact journey strategy, marketing automation, executing outbound communications (email and SMS), reporting, analysis, and providing recommendations to the rest of the marketing team. Expertise in marketing strategies, data analysis, and marketing automation will play a pivotal role in attracting and converting high-quality leads. This person will work closely with a cross-functional team to ensure consistent brand messaging and amplify the brand strategy and corporate objectives through successful execution of email and SMS campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop demand generation strategies that align with business objectives, target audience, and market trends.
  • Continuously optimize automation processes for increased efficiency and better lead engagement
  • Coordinate and execute direct messaging lead generation and nurture campaigns - write and coordinate copy, build messaging cadences, schedule, test, send, analyze and report results - to generate high quality business leads and drive short-term and long-term results in collaboration with multiple teams
  • Utilize Marketo to create and manage campaign workflows and email lists
  • Coordinate email template creation and distribution to individual Goddard School email accounts in Marketo; monitor the use and effectiveness of templates and school level campaigns
  • Manage timelines and calendars for all email and SMS communications, both corporate and franchisee
  • Support the segmentation strategy, cadence, sequencing, and dynamic content rule/logic for all email/SMS efforts
  • Generate regular reports to track campaign effectiveness and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement
  • Conduct A/B tests on campaign elements, such as subject lines, messaging, and calls-to-action, to identify optimal strategies for lead engagement and conversion
  • Manage list development, organization, and acquisition, as well as the consent management program
  • Stay current with the latest trends in email and SMS marketing. Perform competitor analysis to identify opportunities and to enhance The Goddard School brand
  • Additional responsibilities as required

Experience and Competencies

Minimum Requirements

  • 3 plus years' experience in email and SMS marketing or lead generation position
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms, email service providers, CRM systems, and analytics tools
  • Detail oriented with strong project management skills
  • Proven track record of developing successful campaigns, both email and SMS
  • Direct experience developing content calendars and messaging cadence
  • Able to work well under time constraints, possesses a strong detail-orientation and solid organizational skills

Highly Desired

  • Strong presentation skills and comfort level in presenting to senior management
  • Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Marketo experience a plus
  • Data/system knowledgeable/savvy
  • Demonstrated analytical strength
  • Strong time management, problem solving, planning, and organization skills to work on multiple projects for success in a results-oriented environment
  • The ability to be self-motivated and to work independently

There will be periodic requirements to travel for in-person events, at the discretion of your manager or the requirement of the company.
