Reporting directly to Revant’s Director of Marketing, the Email Marketing Specialist will coordinate and optimize Revant’s email, SMS, and other loyalty programs to increase customer retention and repeat business. This is an exciting time to join Revant’s Marketing department as we continue to lead the replacement lens market by releasing new products and services to help our customers. The Email Marketing Specialist will have strong communication and analytical skills with proven experience to identify opportunities to improve retention rates and customer lifetime value. They will work closely with our marketing, product, ecommerce, and customer support teams to create and support a world-class customer journey to increase Revant’s repeat purchase rate and revenue. Revant offers a competitive compensation package including:

  • Base salary, $57,000 - $63,000 (dependent upon experience)

Responsibilities

  • Creates the calendar, coordinates execution, and performs analysis for email and SMS marketing campaigns to increase customer retention and repeat business
  • Write creative briefs that include retention campaign objectives and messaging
  • Create and manage automated email and SMS flows that nurture customers through the buying journey
  • Grow Revant’s email and SMS lists and groom them to maintain healthy performance
  • Gather and organize data from customers, using it to segment and personalize messages to increase message relevance and conversion
  • Run A/B test to optimize campaigns and flows to improve performance
  • Partner with customer support to create two-way communications with customers via email, SMS, and other messaging mediums.
  • Write email and SMS copy that is tailored to different segments of the customer base
  • Partner with the Marketing Director to develop a customer loyalty program that promotes long-term engagement and repeat business
  • Analyze and report on retention program performance to increase customer repeat purchase rate 
  • Stay up-to-date on email and SMS marketing trends and best practices, and recommend new tactics and technologies to improve campaign performance.
  • Manage Revant’s customer referral program, testing new offers to optimize performance
  • Test new retention strategies including direct mail
  • Collaborate with customer service, product, and marketing teams to gather customer insights and create data-driven campaigns
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure campaign message consistency across all channels
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience 

  • 3+ years of experience in email and SMS marketing for a direct-to-consumer (DTC) business required
  • Bachelor's degree, preferable in marketing or communications or an additional 2 years of equivalent DTC related business experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience managing a direct-to-consumer email marketing program
  • Experience with Klaviyo or a similar email service provider
  • Experience creating email and SMS marketing automated customer flows
  • Experience gathering customer data and using it for segmentation and message personalization
  • Strong analytical skills and proven ability to use data for email and retention program optimizations
  • Experience building and marketing a customer loyalty program a plus
  • Basic email design experience a plus
  • Results-oriented with a focus on driving revenue and customer engagement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Work Environment - Hybrid (2 days in office)

While working remotely, you will need a quiet space that you can use to allow you to be present and focused during work hours. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets working in the office.
