We are currently seeking a forward-thinking and resourceful Email Marketing Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a top-rated company comprised of fun, dedicated individuals. This self-starter will be responsible for assisting in email strategy and daily productions, scheduling, delivery, and reporting of diverse types of email campaigns.

The Email Marketing Specialist will be responsible for supporting the strategy and tactical execution of Ferguson's B2B email marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2+ years of experience developing and implementing email marketing campaigns, along with reporting, and content development.

Location: This role is approved for a Ferguson flex schedule working three days a week in the corporate offices in Newport News, VA and two days remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Support development and execution of monthly email content calendar; which includes content planning, creation of creative briefs, attending meetings, facilitating requests within our project management tool (Workfront), and proofing creative to provide feedback.
  • Collaborate with other marketing functional teams to create comprehensive, integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure links, images, subject lines, and list segments are accurate and functional by performing final tests and QA on all emails for compatibility with web browsers and email clients.
  • Analyzes email campaign results and reports campaign performance, summarizes key insights, and offers recommendations. Works with marketing partners to understand business and customer needs and site analytics required to measure email success.
  • Contributes to the development, implementation, and reporting of email campaign performance and overall effectiveness.
  • Contributes to ongoing email testing roadmap - continually optimizes, analyzes, A/B tests, and makes recommendations on improving email performance to include the core metrics.
  • Stays current with strategies and industry standards related to email. Ensures email compliance and spam regulation (CAN-SPAM, CCPA) and shares email program insights and recommendations with marketing business partners and associates. Works with legal team to ensure compliance when new or questionable situations arise.
  • Ability to learn new vendor capabilities, expectations, and strategies for applicable 3rd party software (i.e., Eloqua, Responsys, Salesforce, Litmus, LiveClicker, Persado, Validity, etc.) and ensures features and capabilities of software are fully used - including but not limited to email campaign management, social media integration, landing pages, data enhancement, and affiliate marketing, to improve national and local business/marketing objectives.
  • Work with manager to decide prioritization of work and timing for campaigns and overall strategy to give best in class email and digital communications.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of email marketing experience
  • Eloqua and Responsys (or similar ESP experience) preferred
  • Exceptionally high attention to detail, maintaining a low error rate during email QA process
  • Out-of-the box mentality for finding efficiencies or new processes
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn current email marketing and marketing automation tools (Eloqua, Responsys, Salesforce, Litmus, LiveClicker, Persado, Validity, etc.)
  • Ability to strategize content for campaigns to meet business needs/goals and successfully communicate programs to various business groups
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript a plus
  • Demonstrate an understanding of complex data feeds, API calls, and basic SQL
  • Ability to analyze data to gauge success, report back to partners and make data-based decisions
  • Ability to collaborate within the marketing department in build integrated campaigns
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, to be able to identify, pro-actively propose process improvements
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency
  • Results-oriented, strong attention to detail with ability to run multiple projects in parallel

Pay Range:

$4,000.00 - $5,333.00

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
