About the Role:

We are looking for a qualified Android Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA. 

Our Android applications are written in Kotlin, Go and Java. We’re making use of AOSP, MQTT, RESTful APIs, and Protobuf so if you have experience there that’s a plus!

What We’re Looking For:

• 1-4 years experience in Android development
• Experience working with: Kotlin (must have)/GoLang/Java/Python
• Experience working with RESTful APIs
• Experience with threads, IPC and MQTT, Protobuf messaging
• Experience writing unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests on Android
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• A solid portfolio of experience with Android on embedded systems
• Good technical foundation with ability to pick up new skills and adapt quickly
• Desire to learn new technologies while supporting existing
• A commitment to software craftsmanship and things like unit testing, code review, design patterns, etc

What Will Make You Stand Out:

• Kotlin, Golang, Java, and Python experience
• You’ve built Android OS from the source or have made changes on the OS level.
• JNI Experience
• Experience writing privileged apps
• Low level AOSP and SDK experience
• Jenkins
• CI/CD
• Agile/Scrum Methodologies
• System Architecture Design
• Hardware development
• Linux experience
