About the position:

  • We're looking for a talented Embedded Software Architect to lead and develop, high-quality object-oriented software products for Raymond at our Greene, NY headquarters. You will:
  • Develop software architecture for microcontroller based products.
  • Provide leadership in design, and development of object oriented real-time embedded applications.
  • Create designs, development rules, and test strategies for complex embedded software applications.
  • Lead technical software programs using both internal and external resources.
  • Ensure all projects have meaningful technical milestones and perform periodic reviews to ensure projects are on target.
  • Identify and implement programs to continually develop software staff and key resources.
  • Act as technical project director for major programs, providing technical guidance on projects.
  • Act as the principal technical software resource for leading discussions with senior developers.
  • Partner with HR and training teams to ensure that associates receive the appropriate technical development mentoring and training opportunities.

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years in an architect role.
  • In-depth technical skill in embedded code development (C, C++).
  • Experience with requirement and development tracking tools (Jira, Bitbucket, GIT, etc.).
  • Good knowledge in Real Time Control and Object-Oriented Software Design Methodologies.
  • Experience adding value through leadership by building high performing team and achieving successful outcomes on complicated programs/projects.
  • Experience with full product development cycle, in a multifunctional team environment.
  • Demonstrated application of cost control, schedule, and risk and opportunity management.
  • Strong presentation, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to travel 10%-15%.

About the total compensation package:

Salary-$126,400- $161,800

Requirements
