Flexible Work Schedule - Hybrid Work Option

This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.

AS AN EMBEDDED SOFTWARE DEVELOPER, YOU WILL:

  • Write HDL and test benches for FPGAs and CPLDs
  • Development of Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) and peripheral device drivers for microcontrollers in C and C++
  • Collaborate with the hardware designers in identifying future microprocessors, microcontrollers or FPGAs to be used in our designs
  • Work with hardware designers during product development by providing board bring-up code to test and validate hardware functionality
  • Support the software scrum teams on firmware architecture definition

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPEREIENCE & SKILLS

  • Bachelors degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related STEM degree AND 5 or more years of experience
  • OR Masters degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related STEM degree AND 4 or more years of experience
  • Experience in the development of embedded real-time firmware/software in C/C++
  • Experience with commercial real-time embedded operating systems (QNX, Linux, uC/OS-III or similar)
  • Experience with FPGA development and simulation (VHDL or Verilog)
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Experience architecting and designing embedded real-time applications
  • Experience with programming ARM microprocessors
  • Experience with Visual Studio and GIT
  • Understanding or experience with Process Control or Distributed Control Systems
  • Experience with developing software using Agile/scrum methodology
