Be part of a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex software functions within Honeywell Aerospace - Sensing, Guidance and Navigation (SG&N) You will be instrumental in designing, planning and coordinating work teams, as well as providing technical support. You will also generate innovative solutions in work situations; trying different and novel ways to deal with problems and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in full lifecycle development of aircraft navigational solutions via embedded real time safety critical software.
• Participate in full Software Product Design Lifecycle (Requirements, design, architecture, implementation, integration, testing, release, and continuous feedback)
• Embedded systems development in C/C++, Python, and scripting languages
• Real-time embedded software development proficiency
• Hardware and software debug with lab equipment (Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, etc)
• Verification, Validation, test plan creation, and peer reviews
• Certification (DO-178B/C, MAP-C, etc.)
• Software and Algorithm development skills
• Feature Definition and Design Tradeoffs
• Task Estimation (FAR-15/TINA), Planning, Earned Value Tracking, and project metrics

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelors degree in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• Embedded hardreal-time software development experience.
• Interest or experience in high-rigor software development (aerospace, medical devices, automotive)
• US citizenship/security clearance eligible

• Understanding various software development lifecycles (Waterfall, Kanban, Scrum)
• Previous experience with embedded systems, real time systems development, IoT devices, serial communications, hardware / software debugging, reading schematics
• Knowledge of software configuration management, change management and DevOps automation practices
• Wide degree of creativity, latitude, and interest in learning new things
• Experience with Matlab, Simulink, Greenhills, VHDL, ARM, and/or Math Modeling
• Experience with RM tools (DOORS, etc.) or concepts
