Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly motivated technical expert to lead our embedded systems testing efforts. Key responsibilities include:
- Apply understanding of regulations, guidance, and standards to develop SiMD embedded firmware verification, validation, and risk management practices for connected devices and ensure that they are applied across all programs.
- Own development of software test tools and frameworks used in the verification of SiMD embedded firmware, including V&V of those tools and frameworks.
- Develop V&V plans for SiMD embedded firmware.
- Oversee and/or actively participate in the development and execution of V&V test protocols.
- Actively engage in developing applicable risk management deliverables, including RMPs, SRAs, FMEAs, and/or SACs.
- Oversee activities with vendors providing SiMD testing services or developing SiMD testing tools for Lilly.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent STEM field.
- 5+ years' experience in V&V on projects with a software component.
- 5+ years' experience working with vendors and collaborations.
Additional Skills / Preferences:
- Experience with medical devices or consumer electronics.
- Understanding of testing principles using ARM-based architectures and application development systems.
- Familiarity with design controls, device risk management, and quality system requirements, including understanding of international standards ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 60601, and IEC 62304.
- Can identify problems and drive issue resolution/improvements.
- Superior interpersonal skills, exceptional communication skills, and demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with and influence internal and external business and technical partners.
Other information:
- Primary location is at Lilly Technology Center - North, Indianapolis, IN.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
