Embroidery Operator

JOB OVERVIEW

This position will perform a variety of routine and repetitive embroidery operations and procedures. Responsible for operating, monitoring and adjusting machines used in the process for embroidering product as required and defined by approved production orders. Responsible for the preparation of components for embroidery. Works under general supervision where operations are specified by written and verbal instructions and established procedures.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates embroidery machinery 
• Prepare product for customization which includes, hooping material and setting up embroidery machines
• Gather required threads for embroidery design
• Prepare backing materials for all operator stations
• Select proper hoop size for design and product
• Read and comprehend embroidery proof and production order information
• Load embroidery machine with design and program colors
• Monitor embroidery machine operation to detect potential problems
• Ability to load embroidery thread
• Ability to adjust bobbin and thread tensions 
• Set up and configure machines for bags, headcovers, towels and caps 
• Performing all tasks required for finishing goods and accessories
• Performs routine SAP transactions
• Pre-inspect finished goods

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 1-2 years experience working with Embroidery and sewing machines 
• High school diploma or equivalent 
• Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to read and interpret instructions and procedures
