Employee Communications Manager

Are you up to the challenge?

• Together with the internal and external corporate communications team and senior leaders, spearhead internal communications strategies and projects for the company, including internal executive communications.
• Conceptualize, compose, and edit communications in support of various regional and global initiatives across the company's worldwide operations.
• Lead the creation of strategic communications plans and strategies and oversee and support tactical communications execution that support the overall business strategy and HR business goals.
• Partner with our Talent Development, DE&I and other professional teams to deliver on communications related to well-being initiatives.
• Create and manage an annual editorial calendar for employee engagement.
• Support a consistent cadence of communication by executive leaders to team members through a variety of channels: Town Halls, webinars, videos, written materials, and digital/interactive communications.
• Act as a communications advisor, developing and executing communication campaigns and programs, which may require ongoing strategic planning, writing content and providing regular communication support.
• Design and implement employee volunteer and corporate giving programs and manage its budget.
• Manage the company's community outreach programs, identifying unique branding opportunities and facilitating positive community relations, while increasing employee morale and camaraderie.
• Coordinate and host Intelsat-sponsored events serving as a company and industry liaison.

You should definitely have:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Marketing, Human Resources or a relevant field
• At least seven (7) years of proven experience in communications, preferably employee/internal communications, leveraging multiple channels of communication
• An advanced knowledge of communications principles and practices, including the ability to translate company goals and strategies into successful messages and communications for internal consumption
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, highly developed writing and interpersonal skills and the ability to stay organized and effective even in crisis situations
• Creativity and tenacity in finding interesting stories and bringing them to life
• Innovative thinker, problem-solver, and communicator, especially with utilizing new media technologies and content management systems
• Ability to collaborate with senior leadership and a matrix organization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Proficiency with public relations research/tracking software, social media platforms, and basic HTML
• Prior experience with customer relationship management tools preferred
