Job Description

SMX is seeking a dynamic and proactive Employee Engagement Specialist to spearhead our company-wide initiatives aimed at cultivating a vibrant and fulfilling workplace culture. As the driving force behind employee satisfaction, retention, and overall engagement, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a positive work environment where our team members feel valued, motivated, and connected.

Duties and Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Enhance Onboarding Experience: Take charge of our onboarding program by facilitating engaging sessions, analyzing new hire engagement data, and collaborating cross-functionally to refine the onboarding process for optimal results.
  • Lead Culture Champions: Manage our internal Culture Champions Team, directing the development and implementation of initiatives geared towards fostering inclusivity and positivity within our workplace culture.
  • Evaluate Engagement Levels: Conduct regular assessments and surveys to gauge employee engagement levels, utilizing data analysis to pinpoint trends and areas for enhancement.
  • Support Termination Process: Offer support throughout the termination process, administering and analyzing results to provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage Global Communications: Oversee the development and dissemination of global communications, ensuring consistency and alignment with our organizational goals.
  • Champion Diversity and Inclusion: Coordinate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion meetings and initiatives to promote a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Promote Recognition and Belonging: Organize and lead employee recognition programs, events, and activities designed to celebrate achievements and foster a strong sense of belonging.
  • Forge Collaborative Relationships: Cultivate strong partnerships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and garner support for employee engagement initiatives

Required Skills and Experience: 

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, recruiting, business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Relevant Experience: Three to five years of experience in HR, recruiting, talent development, organizational development, training, employee engagement, or a related field.
  • Tech Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Expertise in Employee Engagement: Demonstrated understanding of employee engagement principles and best practices.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines with a keen eye for prioritization.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with a knack for building rapport and fostering collaboration across all levels of the organization.
  • Data Analysis Proficiency: Experience analyzing employee engagement and sentiment data within a large organization.
