Department: People

At Klaviyo, we value the unique backgrounds, experiences and perspectives each Klaviyo (we call ourselves Klaviyos) brings to our workplace each and every day. We are looking for a culture architect and experience builder.

As the Employee Experience Manager, you will shape and bring to life the vision for what it means to be a Klaviyo employee — across every touchpoint of the journey. This role sits within the Employee Experience, Comms, and Workplace team, operating at the intersection of strategic culture-building and operational excellence.

You will design, build, and activate the programs, moments, and systems that make Klaviyo’s culture tangible — from how we recognize and celebrate our people, to how we listen to them, to how we reinforce our values at every milestone.

This is a highly visible senior individual contributor role with meaningful cross functional partnership across Internal Communications, Workplace, and the business.

How You’ll Make a Difference

  • Define and evolve the employee experience vision for Klaviyo, identifying the key touchpoints across the employee journey that shape culture, connection, and belonging
  • Architect and own signature lifecycle moments including onboarding milestones, work anniversaries, manager appreciation, and career transitions that feel personal and distinctly Klaviyo
  • Build and operationalize a rewards and recognition strategy that celebrates employees meaningfully and reinforces our culture and values
  • Lead the strategy and execution of internal events and culture activation moments — from all-hands experiences to team celebrations and in-person connection opportunities
  • Drive culture alignment initiatives that reinforce ways of working, shared values, and a sense of belonging across our distributed workforce
  • Build playbooks, frameworks, and measurement systems that enable scalable, consistent execution of experience programs
  • Partner cross-functionally with Internal Communications, Workplace, KRGs, L&D, and Employer Brand to create cohesive, integrated employee experiences

Who You Are

  • A culture builder who believes deeply in the power of employee experience to drive engagement, retention, and organizational health
  • Equally comfortable setting a long-term strategic vision and rolling up your sleeves to execute programs with precision and care
  • A strong program manager with experience building and operationalizing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives from scratch
  • An empathetic listener who uses data and employee feedback to shape programs that resonate across a diverse workforce
  • A collaborative, cross-functional partner who builds trust quickly and influences without authority
  • Creative and innovative in how you design employee moments, with an eye for what feels modern, relevant, and human
  • Clear and compelling in how you communicate — able to translate ideas into narratives that inspire action
  • Energized by working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where you’re building something meaningful

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, human resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 8 or more years of experience in employee experience, event management, employee communications, or a related field
  • Two or more years of people management experience
  • Experience working cross functionally with HR, leadership teams, and business partners on communication initiatives
  • Experience developing internal campaigns, storytelling programs, or employee engagement initiatives preferred
