Job Description

We are pleased to announce the relocation of our corporate headquarters to Greenway Plaza's Phoenix Tower in Houston's Upper Kirby neighborhood, with the move expected to be completed by the Fall of 2023.

The Employee Experience Specialist provides administrative and organizational support to the Human Resources team through implementation and execution of event planning strategies. This position takes ownership of executing any projects related to improving the employee experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for building and executing strategic engagement activities - including but not limited to employee engagement events, programs that allow employees opportunities for networking, onboarding, new employee orientation, participation in committees, celebrations, etc.
  • Organize and orchestrate high-impact activities for employees to positively engage in the community, participate in company initiatives, and support the desired culture.
  • Support key initiatives to promote and achieve a culture of service excellence and employee engagement.
  • Build programs that allow employees opportunities for networking, participation in committees, celebrations, and team building activities.
  • Manage and execute projects, budgets and proposals, timelines, and creative design to increase employee engagement and to sustain a positive employee culture.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, best practices, and research in employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Generalists to create and facilitate various events to meet business unit needs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of experience with event planning, project coordination, or related experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience managing special events, onboarding, and team member engagement activities delivering excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Experience working closely with functional teams and the business to enhance the employee experience.
  • Experience with managing costs within designated budgets.
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid work model with 25% travel to other markets as needed.
  • Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
