$65,562.00 - $100,000.00
This position is bonus and/or commission eligible.

The Role

Responsible for the implementation of ER strategies, programs and policies that promote productive and positive relationships between CCC managers, employees, and co-workers. Responsible for following ER-related policies and procedures in a consistent and expedient manner to ensure that employees are treated fairly and actions taken are in compliance with company policy and government regulations. In addition to handling day-to-day ER matters, educates appropriate audiences with the goal of minimizing legal risk and preventing the unfair treatment of employees. Works on local and may work on cross-functional ER projects. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting in the implementation of ER strategies, programs and policies that promote productive and positive relationships between managers, employees, and co-workers by helping to prevent and resolve issues between individuals. Provides subject matter expertise.


  • Formally responds to sensitive concerns and allegations by conducting internal investigations into allegations of misconduct, poor performance, and violations of internal policies. Inputs matters in a timely and accurate manner into case management system. Ensures each matter reflect a current and accurate status.


  • Exercises sound judgement, discretion and decision-making to prevent and resolve issues and conflicts. Escalates matters as warranted.


  • Responsible for following ER-related policies and procedures in a consistent and expedient manner to ensure that employees are treated fairly and actions taken are in compliance with company policy and government regulations.


  • In addition to handling day-to-day ER matters, may also help to educate appropriate audiences with the goal of minimizing legal risk and preventing the unfair treatment of employees. Works on local and may work on cross-functional ER projects. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management


  • Participates in HR and ER strategy execution as well as ensures standardization of the processes, tools, policies and programs that support the employee relations function.


  • Partners with People and Culture team and HR Field to identify manager training or cultural interventions based on the data.


  • Proactively scans for Federal, state, county, and city employment law changes and assesses impact on CCC's policies and programs.


  • Builds strong relationships with COE and HR Field, people leaders and employees at all levels.


  • Provides training on various employee-related topics to ensure adherence to compliance policies

Requirements:

  • BA or BS degree


  • 3-5 years experience in a human resources partner role with 1-2 specifically in employee/labor relations


  • Deep knowledge of federal and state workplace legislation, including EEO, FMLA, ADA, Workers Compensation, ERISA, and investigative techniques.


  • Current with HR industry trends and best practices.


  • Demonstrated competency of a "coach first" problem-solving approach.


  • Excellent problem solving and facilitation skills


  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to influence across all levels
