The Employee Relations Partner, is a key member of Cohesity's growing Employee Relations Team. This role will be supporting business divisions within Costa Rica and assist with the Americas. It will serve as a trusted advisor to resolve challenging issues including: complex investigations, compliance issues, performance improvement, conflict resolution and other ER concerns. This role will partner, as needed, with People Partners, Legal, Compliance, HR Operations, and others to analyze, diagnose and resolve Employee Relations issues in an efficient, respectful and effective manner.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal (and potentially sensitive) investigations and propose remediations related to employee concerns and potential policy violations.
- Support the business with change management initiatives in an agile, flexible and responsive manner.Â
- Partner with managers and employees to facilitate positive interactions and effective outcomes for matters including performance coaching, performance improvement plans, written warnings, disciplinary actions and communications.Â
- Collaborate cross functionally with division leaders, Legal and HR to resolve ER cases and sustain positive employee relations.Â
- Provide detailed case management documentation, executive summaries and timelines clearly written and with recommended outcomes.Â
- Analyze employee relations trends monthly / quarterly for your region to develop proactive strategies, solutions, training programs and policies.Â
- Maintain thorough understanding of Cohesity's HR policies/procedures and relevant employment and labor laws to ensure equitable and consistent resolution of cases.Â
- Engage and complete projects across divisions and functions where ER expertise and input is required.Â
- Identify learning and development opportunities for managers to advise and train managers in employee relations standard processes and strategies. Â
- Assist with employee relations special projects as needed.Â
- Drive cross functional partnerships with HR, Payroll, legal, IT and other parts of the business.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degreeÂ
- 5+ years of related experience - ER, employment law and HR Business partner supporting Costa Rica and AmericasÂ
- Background in HR, Employment Law and Business in Costa Rica and AmericasÂ
- Prior HR generalist experience - having worked in other HR subject areasÂ
- Good written and oral English language skillsÂ
- Experience using a case management system and accountability for detailed, documented investigationsÂ
- Experience building and using metrics to identify employee relations trendsÂ
- Experience of other global Employment Law is a plus

- Proven ability to navigate optimally within ambiguity, with multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment - prior experience working in the technology industry is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and communicate effectively with executives, senior leaders, members of management, and employees at all levels of the companyÂ
- Ideally able to work at least 2 days per week in the Cohesity Costa Rica officeÂ
- Positive attitude and growth mindset including an ability to remain resilient when tackling difficult challenges
***This is a hybrid role that requires to be onsite 1-2 times a week with a flexible schedule***

In-Office Expectations
Cohesity employees who are within a reasonable commute (e.g. within a forty-five (45) minute average travel time) work out of our core offices 2-3 days a week of their choosing.
