Employee Relations Partner

The Opportunity

The Employee Relations Partner ensures that Unity remains a safe, positive, and great place to work by conducting investigations into reports of Code of Conduct violations. As a member of the Legal team, we work collaboratively with HR collaborators to design, implement, and continuously improve a variety of ER programs supporting our dynamic company. You will work cross functionally to drive and scale consistent ER processes across the organization while minimizing risk and ensuring a positive ethical workplace.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct sensitive investigations end-to-end; recommend appropriate resolution, complete case documentation and communications
• Coach and influence HR Business Partners on interventions required for individuals, managers, and/or teams on preventing employee relations risks
• Maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality, with a shown ability to gain trust from all levels of the organization
• Facilitate training sessions to build knowledge among business partners and managers
• Running ER’s training portfolio of anti-harassment training by partnering closely with our vendor, and Managing within the Law by facilitating sessions and tracking employee attendance. As well as accurate data reporting and dashboard creation for Unity’s C-Suite on Employee Relations trends and cases on a quarterly basis

What we are looking for 

• Ability to investigate empathetically, diffuse employee concerns with sensitivity, and confidently recommend discipline where necessary
• Exercises sound judgment whilst remaining neutral and impartial
• Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patience, tact, and respect
• Excitement to build Employee Relations COE and participate in foundational efforts
• Strong knowledge of US & Canada employment laws and regulations and the ability to appropriately spot employment risks and issues

• Fluency in multiple languages
