GuideIT is a US based technology services company focused on providing value to its customers through technology alignment and optimization. We are currently looking for an EMR Training Associate to join our Miami-Fort Lauderdale, FL team.Â
About the RoleÂ
The EMR Trainer is responsible for leading application training sessions to a wide range of health professionals for outpatient clinics. This role will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving application issues with clinical staff and staying current with eClinicalWorks functionality. The EMR Trainer will be asked to update training materials and implement innovative ways to enhance the effectiveness of clinical education.
Primary Duties
Work with the customer’s Training Coordinator to provide staff coverage for training sessions and go lives
Coordinates the EHR Training team schedule to ensure appropriate coverage for customer needsÂ
Primary point of contact to share customer communications with EHR Training team to ensure understating of requirementsÂ
Serves as primary point of contact to Customer's support team for eCW ticket issuesÂ
Evaluates EHR Trainers and provides coaching and mentoring as neededÂ
Provides training and mentoring for new hiresÂ
Resolves and directs application and customer satisfaction issues to ensure a quality support environment and to obtain maximum customer-based satisfactionÂ
Ensure end users are appropriately trained in eClinicalWorks to enhance productivity and the delivery of patient careÂ
Plans the development and execution of training sessions for core system/application functionality. Provides facilitation and coordination of training sessions: Orientation, Advanced, Refresher classes, Helpful Hints, and Frequently Asked QuestionsÂ
Collaborates with clinical staff in the areas of planning, development, preparation, and implementation of clinical information systemsÂ
Participates as necessary in ensuring the integrity and availability of information through proper testing and validation of components and modules of the EMR (eCW)Â
Conduct classroom style and/or one-on-one training with end users virtually or in personÂ
Provides go live and post go live support to assist end users with understanding and appropriate use of eCWÂ
Observe users in their environment to identify areas for improvement and suggestions for workflow redesignÂ
Maintain knowledge of customer’s standard configurations and clinic specific templates and customizationÂ
Facilitate and provide support to resolve user issues, problems, and requests in a timely manner
Act as the subject matter expert to ensure training quality and consistencyÂ
Provide user interface support and actively participate in shadowing and mentoring activities at customer sites.Â
Assist with coordinating requests by facilities for system modifications and enhancementsÂ
Maintain an issue knowledgebase to document specific training issues related to the applicationÂ
Perform other duties as assignedÂ
Qualifications & Required SkillsÂ
Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role for a training or application support team, preferredÂ
Expert level understanding and experience with eCWÂ
3-5 years Practical hands-on experience and thorough understanding of the physician practice/outpatient clinic setting
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasksÂ
Self-motivated professional with excellent written and verbal communication skillsÂ
Ability to work independently as well as willing to follow direction and best practicesÂ
Demonstrates initiative in supporting the customer and exceeding expectationsÂ
Ability to follow defined processes and proceduresÂ
Experience with Microsoft Office365Â
Customer-centric problem solver and critical thinker with strong attention to detailsÂ
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with all levels of staffÂ
Demonstrates the ability to align presentation tools with an audience to ensure effective communication and has the strong desire to contribute to organizational learning/training objectives
Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, and maintain a positive attitudeÂ
Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal informationÂ
Ability to work with minimal supervision and maximum accountabilityÂ
Has an aptitude and desire to hone various training techniques to adapt to users’ capacity to learnÂ
Ability to evaluate and analyze features and functionality for problem resolutionÂ
Proven Ability to document workflow design of clinical operations and identify areas for improvementÂ
Knowledge of industry best practices related to patient and clinical workflow and associated rolesÂ
Ability to customize and configure clinical workflow and clinical best practices is a plusÂ
Education & CertificationsÂ
High School Diploma/GEDÂ
Medical Assistant, CMA (AAMA) or LVN/LPNÂ
Position Location & Other RequirementsÂ
Miami-Fort Lauderdale, FL
Monday - Friday, between 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM start time, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM end timeÂ
Position requires travel between associated clinics throughout the Miami – Fort Lauderdale areaÂ
May be up walking on feet up to 8 hours per dayÂ
May need to sit for up to 2-6 hours per day
Light to moderate work with full range of body motion including reaching, bending, stooping, and lifting 30 lbs.
Occasional remote/virtual days, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PMÂ
