JOB SUMMARY:
The End User Analyst provides proactive technical expertise for Power Control Centers to facilitate the effective use of Technology products and services by its Business Partners. The position also has the responsibility for the day-to-day technical troubleshooting and support for various applications and equipment which includes, but is not limited to, desktop/laptop computers, core software products, printers, computer-related peripherals (i.e. scanners, label printers), network infrastructure, camera systems, Microsoft Teams rooms, and inventory management. Afterhours remote or onsite support may be required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or Associates degree in Computer Systems Technology, Network or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and/or Information Technology is preferred. Related work experience or technical degree required.
- In-depth technical knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- In-depth technical knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform Suite. (i.e., Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) is a plus.
- In-depth technical knowledge of Nexthink is a plus.
- Ability to manage projects using proven concepts to apply technology to business problems.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to learn internal customers' business and local technical environment.
- Basic understanding of information technologies, their interaction in systems and their application to business problems.
- Establish highly credible, positive relationship with customers and team members.
- Afterhours remote or onsite support may be required.
- Support at the Alabama Power Headquarters location and the Leaf Lake facility
- Successful completion of Southern Company background investigation (NERC CIP).
- Participation in random drug/alcohol testing is a requirement of employment.
- Working knowledge of Power Control Centers is a plus.
- Working knowledge of electric utility industry is a plus.
- Provide solutions that leverage technology to meet our customer's business needs.
- Provide consulting and education which includes, but is not limited to, assisting customers with standard products and implementing local solutions.
- Provide project management, coordination and/or technical support during project implementation.
- Provide specialized dedicated technical support as requested by customers.
- Partner with Technology Planning Analysts, Data & Voice Engineers/Support personnel and other Technology business units.
- Assist with resolving billing issues and PC inventory issues.
- Identify training opportunities.
- Ability to troubleshoot both software and hardware issues both on site and remotely
- Ability to troubleshoot multiple operating systems, diagnosing and solving software faults
- Knowledge of: Computer operating systems and operating computer systems peripheral devices
- Support all aspects of the end user including remote access, systems build and lease term (desktop/laptop) installation and setup and administration of desktops and laptops
- Ability to maintain detailed inventory records and other required documentation
- Support off-site equipment setup, troubleshooting, repair and lease term (desktop/laptop) installation
- PC imaging and setup process, mobile device setup, and other types of moves and changes. This will include proactively install and maintain software installations, obtain patches, upgrades and bug fixes.
- Understanding of cyber security with the ability to respond to alerts and escalations in a timely manner
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
