Job Summary

As the End User Compute Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our organization's end-user computing environment. The End User Compute Manager, will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of desktop, mobile, and virtual computing systems, aligning them with business goals and technology trends to support our evolving business needs. In this leadership role, the End User Compute Manager, will manage a team of IT professionals, collaborate with various departments, and make strategic decisions to optimize user experience, performance, security, and scalability.

Essential Job Functions

  • End User Computing Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to enhance the organization's end-user computing environment in alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, including desktop support specialists and system administrators, to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Infrastructure Architecture: Design, plan, and implement scalable and secure end-user computing solutions, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure the integrity and security of end-user computing systems, maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Budget Management: Manage the end-user computing budget, forecasting and allocating resources effectively to support projects and operational needs.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and foster relationships with technology vendors, ensuring the selection and management of third-party services that meet the organization's needs.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans for end-user computing systems to minimize downtime and data loss.
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement monitoring and reporting systems to proactively identify and address end-user computing issues to maintain optimal performance.
  • Project Management: Lead end-user computing-related projects, coordinating efforts with various teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Technology Evaluation: Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and trends to make informed recommendations for end-user computing improvement and innovation.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in end-user computing management including O365 services.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading a team of IT professionals.
  • Experience with end-user computing tools and practices.
  • Experience with supporting end-user devices in manufacturing and distribution center environments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.

Competencies - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of end-user computing, including desktop, mobile, O365, and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) technologies.
  • Expertise in security practices and compliance standards.
  • Project management skills and experience in handling complex technology projects.
  • Expertise in inventory management practices.
  • Desire for continual Operational Excellence through documentation, process development, process improvement, and flawless execution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
