Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced EUC Architect to join our dynamic team. As an EUC Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing end-user computing solutions that enhance productivity, security, and user experience.

Principal Responsibilities

Job duties and responsibilities, not limited to:

• Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Investment, Back Office, and Sales teams.
  • Promote end-user computing (EUC) solutions within the organization.
  • Regular feedback sessions with stakeholders
• Solution Design and Architecture:
  • EUC Strategy: Develop and maintain a strategic vision for end-user computing within the organization. This includes understanding business needs, user requirements, and industry trends.
  • High-Level and Low-Level Design: Create comprehensive solution designs that address user experience, security, scalability, and performance. Collaborate with other architects and stakeholders to ensure alignment with overall IT architecture.
• VDI Solution Design and Implementation:
  • Architect, design, and implement VDI solutions for our organization.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of VDI into existing systems.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate VDI technologies based on business requirements.
  • Optimize VDI performance, scalability, and security.
  • Provide end-users with a consistent and efficient virtual desktop experience.
• Exchange Hybrid Environment Expertise:
  • Exchange in Hybrid Mode: Leverage experience with Exchange Online (part of Microsoft 365) in hybrid environments (coexistence with on-premises Exchange servers).
  • Microsoft 365 Services: Understand and manage services like SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams within a hybrid context.
• Endpoint Management and Optimization:
  • Device Management: Define standards for managing end-user devices (laptops, desktops, mobile devices). Implement tools like SCCM, Intune, or other endpoint management solutions.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize device performance, ensuring seamless user experience
• Security and Compliance:
  • Endpoint Security: Implement robust security measures for end-user devices. This includes encryption, access controls, antivirus, and intrusion detection.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and internal policies related to end-user computing.
• User Experience Enhancement:
  • Application Delivery: Design efficient application delivery mechanisms (e.g., virtual apps, app streaming) to enhance user productivity.
  • Profile Management: Implement user profile management solutions to provide consistent experiences across devices.
  • Collaboration Tools: Optimize collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams) for seamless communication and collaboration.
• User Support and Training:
  • End-User Support: Collaborate with IT support teams to address user issues promptly. Provide second-level support when needed.
  • Training and Documentation: Develop training materials and conduct sessions to educate end-users on best practices, new features, and security guidelines.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Technical Expertise:
  • Workplace Stack Proficiency:
    • VDI solution design and implementation including Citrix and AVD
    • Microsoft 365 (M365) services and applications.
    • Windows 10 and Windows 11 deployment and management.
    • Active Directory (AD) administration.
    • System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for endpoint management.
    • Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).
    • Intune for mobile device management.
    • VDI Solution Design and Implementation
    • Exchange Online and On-Prem

• Non-Technical Expertise:
  • Agile Mindset:
    • Embrace the principles of agility, including iterative development, continuous feedback, and adaptability.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions incrementally, responding to changing requirements.
  • Scrum and Sprints:
    • Participate in Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
    • Contribute to sprint planning by breaking down EUC tasks into manageable units.
    • Adapt to evolving priorities during sprints.
  • User Stories and Backlog Refinement:
    • Translate business needs into user stories.
    • Prioritize and refine the backlog based on user value and technical feasibility.
    • Work closely with Product Owners to ensure alignment.
