Job Title: End User Computing Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC
Overall Purpose of Role
- Working within a global team to provide engineering and technical support solutions for the end user computing environment; while maintaining a secure, stable and performant environment.
- Provide operational support to the Barings' user base and end user computing services and infrastructure, including out of hours support and maintenance activities
- Involvement with project activities as and when required
Primary Responsibilities
- Providing 3rd line support for systems and services supported by the EUC team, which include out of hours maintenance activities and 24x7 on-call support within a rotation
- Maintain a secure end user computing environment by being proactive and responsive to security vulnerabilities and implementation of security controls
- Managing and resolving incidents, requests or problems within defined SLAs
- Creating and maintaining standard EUC build images and application deployment packages
- Continuously see improvement and develop our EUC services to provide efficiencies and document configurations, knowledgebase articles and processes
- Working closely with Microsoft and other vendors when required
- Participate as either project leads or EUC team representation infrastructure and business driven projects where required
Qualifications/Requirements
- Excellent customer service, high levels of communication and the ability to manage problems through to completion
- Extensive knowledge and experience with 2nd/3rd line support of Windows 10/11
- Good Working knowledge of Active Directory, associated tools and Group Policies
- Demonstrable technical experience with Azure Virtual Desktop operations and managing
- Experience with deploying and servicing Windows operating systems and M365 Enterprise Apps using SCCM/MECM
- Good knowledge of packaging, deploying and troubleshooting installation of applications across multiple devices
- Good knowledge of maintaining and supporting a virtual desktop environment
- Good experience of scripting with PowerShell
- Good experience of supporting O365 (Office Enterprise Apps, MS Teams)
- Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktop is beneficial
- Experience with using Ivanti DesktopNow is beneficial
- Experience working in a regulated financial industry. Asset management experience preferred
- Experience working in environments that require strict adherence to change control policies and regulatory controls
