Columbus Endocrinology at Central Ohio Primary Care -

Β COPC is the largest physician-owned Primary Care Group in the US.

We are looking for a knowledgeable, licensed Endocrinologist or Fellow that will complete his Endocrinology Fellowship in 2025 to provide care to patients at COPC - Columbus Endocrinology located at 4895 Olentangy River Road, Suite 100, Columbus, OH 43214.

The thriving practice has 7 Physicians and several NPs, PAs, and MAs to support the outpatient practice. Due to an upcoming Physician retirement in the early spring, a new Endocrinologist joining the practice will acquire an established patient panel from the Physician that is leaving the practice. Office is open:Β M-Thurs., 8-4:30, FRI., 8-3:30 pm.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating hormone disorders and other problems relating to the endocrine system.
  • Evaluate patient symptoms and medical histories, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans.
  • Support patients to deal with the physical limitations due to diseases stemming from problems with the endocrine system.
  • Analyze, examine, and investigate patients and their medical histories for signs and symptoms of hormonal imbalances.
  • Advise, order, and perform tests and interpret the results.
  • Discuss diagnoses with patients, explaining treatment options, and giving advice on medications, lifestyle and dietary changes, and other preventative measures.
  • Carry out follow-up appointments, monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatment plans and medications, and updating patient records. COPC uses EPIC EHR.
  • Conduct research and studies on the endocrine system and its diseases, disorders, and conditions to develop new treatment techniques.
  • Remain up to date on current discoveries, developments, trends, research, and technology.
  • Opportunity to perform thyroid ultrasound/thyroid nodule biopsies.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD/DO), completion of a three-year Internal Medicine residency,Β  Fellowship completion, and Board certification in Internal Medicine Endocrinology or within an agreed upon time of joining the COPC.
  • A thorough understanding of the endocrine system and its diseases, disorders, and conditions.
  • Strong analytical abilities to provide accurate diagnoses.
  • Excellent decision-making, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and researching skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and medical equipment. COPC uses EPIC.
  • Ability to speak more than one language would be advantageous.
