We are looking for a talented individual…

As an Energy Engineer I, you will be a major contributor to our energy efficiency practice and support the implementation of energy efficiency programs on behalf of our utility clients. You will primarily be helping commercial, and industrial customers identify energy saving (electric and natural gas) project opportunities. You will meet with customers and tour facilities while conducting a variety of tasks such as deploying data loggers, taking field measurements, identifying existing equipment, reporting project savings, verifying project completion, and sharing results with our clients. We work in a team environment where cross-collaboration and communication are critical for success.

For this opportunity, you’re a great fit if you can…

• Conduct energy assessments and quantify energy savings for opportunities such as HVAC, lighting, water heating, steam systems, compressed air equipment, and other industrial processes.
• Travel to job sites. Engineers typically spend 20-40% of their time outside the office. Most travel is in-state, rarely requiring overnight stays.
• Maintain continued relationship with customer contacts.
• Calculate energy savings using custom equations and logged data. This frequently requires regression analysis and correlating energy usage to independent variables.
• Write technical reports describing projects and energy savings calculations.
• Develop calculations and tools for new energy savings technologies using standard engineering principles including physics, affinity laws, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.
• Review project information and scopes of work for completion and accuracy.
• Analyze technical issues and convey conclusions, both written and verbally, to diverse technical and non-technical audiences.

In this exciting career opportunity, you will have…

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Bachelor’s degree in studies applicable to an Energy Engineer role.
• 0 to 2 years of experience with energy efficiency consulting or energy program implementation.
• Interest and ambition to work in the fast-paced energy efficiency industry.
• Excellent technical and non-technical writing and communication abilities.
