Job Summary

We're seeking a Software Automation developer to join our team, which is responsible for developing automation scripts against Xumo Smart TV experiences. Xumo TV is an affordable and innovative smart TV developed by Comcast in collaboration with Hisense, Element, and other OEM partners. This has an integrated interface and voice remote to access customer's favorite live and on-demand streaming content from hundreds of apps and services. We are primarily responsible for working alongside the QA, Product, and Development teams in the Philadelphia office to produce high-quality entertainment applications.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

• Write automated test code, using the same standards as a Software Engineer, that allows for repeatable, reliable testing solutions to test the wide functionality of products and software
• Collaborate with the Automation team to translate E2E regression test cases into automation scripts
• Execute automated test scripts every release on CICD pipeline and fix the failures accordingly
• Perform code reviews of automation scripts and front-end codebases in a version control system like GIT
• Analyze and automate REST web services called by the application for display of data and error handling
• Automate and execute (in every release) new features, performance scripts to measure speed, reliability and resiliency of the software
• Serve as a guide and mentor for junior-level engineers. Provides technical leadership and consultation with regards to practices, procedures, and techniques
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Attributes for Success

• 5-8+ years of experience working with automation of different applications
• 4+ years of experience working with Cucumber automation framework
• Strong experience with Cypress automated testing framework
• Strong experience with GIT Version Control System
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript
• 4+ years of experience working with CICD (Jenkins or Concourse- preferred)
• Ability to take initiatives to resolve the roadblocks and implement technical changes
• Ability to effectively collaborate and the take the ownership to refactor code based on industry standards and best practices
• Ability to effectively collaborate and participate in technical architecture meetings with other Software Engineers in Philadelphia
• Strong experience working with JIRA and knowledge of Agile ceremonies
• Performance automation experience using JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus

Bachelor's Degree: Computer and Information Science
