The Pre-Sales (PS) team develops and implements sustainable growth strategies to exploit market and technology trends to strongly position Nokia's portfolio, drives customer diversification initiatives, and creates new sales opportunities. Understands customer's key business drivers to tap into new business areas and close business opportunities in solutions, markets, customer groups / new customers, or technologies.

The PS team works closely with sales team to work out offers for products, services, and solutions. Covers the identification of new business opportunities and draws on technical expertise to influence and impact customer's buying decision. You will be accountable for achieving sales results with a sales incentive plan.

As part of our team, you will need:
  • Good understanding of 5G/Cloud related technologies from Assurance and Fulfilment areas
  • Ability to translate the Customer requirements into Managed and Hosted Services portfolio positioning in both Standard and Bespoke models
  • To articulate the key Value proposition of the Managed and Hosted Services portfolio offerings and especially in the areas of new Technologies around 5G/Cloud , OSS/BSS Applications Management , Cloud vRAN/ORAN where MS can play an Anchor role in the Customer Operations Lifecyle Management
  • To create Upsell opportunities in Niche Operations Engineering Services space like Operations Automation Engineering through Consultative Engagements and Co-Create models for Value based Outcomes to help Customers in Digitizing their Operations
  • Provide continuous feedback and suggestions based on Customer discussions to the Managed and Hosted Services Business and Product Line for any enhancements in the portfolio offerings to cater to the changing needs and demands of the Customer
  • Good understanding of the security issues & scenarios in market and how to articulate that in Managed Operations towards the customer.
  • To influence and enable Sales Account Managers to realize the Value proposition of Managed and Hosted Service Offerings
  • To lead technical offer creation through proposal outlining, storyboarding, writing, and revision process
  • To respond to RFIs/RFQs and contribute to marketing briefings and other materials as need arises


Your skills and experience

As a Pre-Sales Engagement Manager for the NAM Market, you will proactively drive account level engagement plan and growth strategy for Nokia's Cloud and Cognitive services. Your knowledge of Telco Networks, Cloud Operations and Security will help to define the required Managed and Hosted Services Solution win plans and active consultative-selling skills will drive the customer engagement

You must have:
  • 10-12 years extensive experience in Sales, Pre-Sales and /or Delivery roles in telecommunications with a graduate / postgraduate equivalent degree.
  • Experience working with Senior Executive Telecom leaders (preferably in North America)
  • Consultative selling, deal-shaping and solution driven "creative" mindset

It would be nice if you also had:
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence internal and external parties who may have conflicting objectives to accept concepts, practices and approaches.
  • High degree of independence within agreed policies, targets and budgets
