Overview

The Engagement Manager partners with healthcare clients to achieve their financial, operational and organizational goals. The focus of our work is on perioperative services and expands across the care continuum. This role is responsible for leading fast-paced, outcome-oriented consulting engagements and requires deep experience utilizing complex problem-solving skills, leveraging analytical tools and financial acumen to identify trends in data and develop associated improvement opportunities for hospital clients. The candidate should possess a track record of successfully integrating into and leading high-performance, interdisciplinary teams to meet project milestones and achieve measurable performance outcomes. The candidate must align with our company's goal to help transform hospital operations and strategy to radically improve client performance and ultimately patients' lives.

Essential Functions/ Major Responsibilities

Engagement Manager works directly with client executives, as well as internal leadership, to identify opportunities and implement strategies to achieve profitable growth. Manager will lead the strategic assessment and implementation of recommendations and are accountable for project success. They will leverage the data to drive the performance improvement effort. Working with client personnel, an experienced Engagement Manager will effectively guide the client through transformation efforts, be actively involved in client sales and help to grow the business.

  • Establishes trusted client relationships and facilitates communication with client(s)' key decision makers and engagement staff
  • Organizes, facilitates and communicates all aspects of assigned work which typically entails, but is not limited to, perioperative services assessments, implementation and add-on sales
  • Ensures high-quality deliverables are provided in a timely manner and communicated to all affected parties
  • Supports client sales and contracting discussions; proactively looks for opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell
  • Serves as a leader to shape and implement the Company's strategic plan and other efforts to improve project delivery and achieve corporate growth
  • Innovates current offerings or helps to build new offerings that enable our clients to better serve their patients and providers
  • Successfully influences and facilitates large-scale client performance improvement initiatives
  • Is an excellent team leader and collaborator with peers and leadership; continuously looks for opportunities to improve own skillset and that of others through mentorship and teaching

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or health field, with 6 years of related healthcare experience
  • Master's degree (preferred) with 4 years of related healthcare experience on the provider side or professional consulting services
  • Expert in Microsoft Office suite, with strong analytic skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • High comfort level presenting to all levels of an organization
  • Must be willing to travel, typically 80% based on client demand
  • Proof of COVID vaccination may be required due to the nature of the role

Work Environment

Jobs in this group are required to function in a fast-paced environment with occasional high-pressure or emergent and stressful situations. Frequent interaction with a diverse population including team members, providers, patients, insurance companies and other members of the public. Function is subject to inside environmental conditions, with occasional outdoor exposures.
