Job Description

As our new Engagement Manager, you will work with our Talent Advisors to manage and fulfill search and talent consulting projects.

If you're part account manager, part project manager and a real people person - you will like this job! This role will include a ton of client interaction and likely some back to back (usually virtual) meeting days. If that's not your jam, you'll want to skip this one.

A few key projects for you in year 1 will include:

50% - Engagement Management

Our talented talent advisors will bring stellar pipelines of candidates (they already do this - this role doesn't exist to fix a broken recruiting pipeline) and you'll manage the client experience by uncovering and delivering on:

  • What's the overall status of the project?
  • What would make this an 11/10 stellar experience for our client?
  • How will we know we're successful beyond a hire starting? What are our client's goals beyond hiring?
  • Where are we running into challenges and how can we overdeliver?

30% - Account Expansion

This will include maintaining relationships with our existing clients as well as looking for ways we can expand our partnerships. You'll work in partnership with our Business Development Coordinator and Co-founders on these initiatives.

10% - Event and Community Representation

Actively participate in Newance and NEWaukee community events such as founder events, conferences or other get togethers as an engaging representative of Newance and NEWaukee. Your goal isn't necessarily to sell anything at these events but we do want you to represent our brands both warmly and professionally.

We're a small team so sometimes we need people to wear other hats. If you like variety, you'll love it. If you're a person who likes very structured guidelines and only annual changes, you'll hate it here! (And that's totally ok! Not every culture is for everyone!)

We're looking for someone with:

  • That elusive blend of strong attention to detail and the willingness to talk to strangers!
  • 4+ years of professional experience ideally in recruitment but open to sales, project management or other consulting backgrounds.
  • Builder mindset. We're a boutique firm and not everything is set in stone here. You need to be able to (and enjoy!) working with above average autonomy. Our team is very supportive but we're all quite comfortable taking our own initiative and you should be too.
  • Tech intuition. We need to bring our clients the latest in tech, HR and talent news. It's very helpful if you're already nerding on those things.
  • Home base in Milwaukee or Madison, WI. This is a remote role but we like to get together and you'll host guests in our new HQ on occasion.

  • Base salary (70-100k) and commission plan with total OTE over 100k. Fully paid health/vision/dental and 401k match (4% at one year).
