Senior Manager - (Salary Range $105,600 - $150,000)
Position Summary
Key enterprise position leading the deployment and maintenance of the One Way operating system across the enterprise. The Sr. Engagement Manager is expected to engage across all operating areas and organizational levels. Responsible for coaching others through successful implementation of continuous improvement principles to drive improved business performance.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead the deployment and maintenance of the Management Requirements and 4 Plays: Visualization, Performance Reviews, Problem-Solving, and Standardization. Drive the use of rally rooms and operating boards to standardize work. Utilize PDCA/A3 to drive continuous improvement based on enterprise goals cascaded down through the organization.
- Lead role in providing consultation and analysis on issues through coaching and facilitation of teams. Act as a key liaison between the business area leadership, shared services, and One Way office. Provides process expertise and input
- Communicate and report on the status of business improvements in the regions. Establish effective, collaborative working relationships with front line through senior leadership to maximize project efficiency, responsiveness, and resource allocation
- Conduct and lead cross-functional continuous improvement projects utilizing breakthrough methodology to deliver substantial improvements in identified areas.
- Coach and mentor One Way team to serve as continuous improvement expert who facilitates the deployment of the One Way operating system.
- Identify process level metrics and influence accountability across process streams by supporting use of tools such as rally rooms, continuous improvement projects.
- Provide financial management of projects including budgeting, forecasting, actuals tracking, and savings implications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, information technology, related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 10 years related business/industry experience.
- Experience consulting on and leading improvement and transformation initiatives.
- Change management and program/project management experience.
- Must build relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization including executive level leadership, through presentations, coaching, and facilitation of teams. Strong interpersonal skills using active listening and ability to provide constructive feedback.
- Ability to effectively communicate to a variety of audiences and analyze ambiguous/ complex business scenarios.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others.
- Ability to adapt to change quickly and work within a diverse, cross-functional team environment. Able to handle complex issues and conflict with a calm demeanor and use facts to support decision-making.
- Knowledge of core business processes/industry trends with ability to interpret and react to ongoing changes.
Preferred Requirements
- Gas and/or Electric Utility Industry experience. MBA, Industrial Engineering, or other related certification.
- Business process management skillset including Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement Toolsets, and data management skillsets.
Engagement Manager - (Salary Range $90,000 - $127,332.33)
Position Summary
Key enterprise position leading the development, deployment, and maintenance of the One Xcel Energy Way Operating System within assigned business area and support functions. Responsible for coaching others through analyzing, defining, and implementing technical and process solutions.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead the deployment and maintenance of the Management Requirements and 4 Plays: Visualization, Performance Reviews, Problem-Solving, and Standardization. Drive the use of rally rooms and operating boards to standardize work. Utilize PDCA/A3 to drive continuous improvement based on business area goals cascaded down through the organization.
- Responsible for providing process expertise and analysis on issues through coaching and facilitation of teams. Act as a key liaison between the business area leadership, shared services, and One Way office.

Associate Engagement Manager - (Salary Range $79,000-$112,999.00)
Position Summary
Key enterprise position supporting the deployment and maintenance of the One Way operating system. Will utilize continuous improvement toolset and business process management skillset to engage owners across various process streams to identify and drive process improvements.
Essential Responsibilities
- Support the deployment and maintenance of the Management Requirements and 4 Plays: Visualization, Performance Reviews, Problem-Solving, and Standardization. Utilize PDCA/A3 to drive continuous improvement based on business area goals cascaded down through the organization.
- Responsible for providing process expertise and input on issues through use of continuous improvement toolset and business process management skillset. Act as a key liaison between the business area leadership, shared services, and One Way office.
- Communicate and report out on the status of continuous improvement events and outcomes. Establish effective, collaborative working relationships with front line through senior leadership to maximize project efficiency, responsiveness, and resource allocation.
- Support Senior Engagement Managers in execution of cross-functional continuous improvement projects utilizing breakthrough methodology to deliver substantial improvements in identified areas.
- Support process level metrics (including financial management documentation) and influence accountability across process streams by supporting use of tools such as rally rooms, continuous improvement projects.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with at least 5 years related business experience.
- Change management and/or program/project management experience.
- Ability to build relationships and effectively communicate to a variety of audiences and analyze ambiguous/complex business scenarios.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others.
- Ability to adapt to change quickly and work within a diverse, cross-functional team environment.
- Understanding of core business processes/industry trends with ability to interpret and react to ongoing changes.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $90,000.00 to $127,332.33 per year
