The base compensation for this role is $88,000 - $139,440.
About the Role:
As an Engagement Manager (Data Services) at Demandbase, you will be the liaison between the customer and the Data Service Delivery team. You will work directly with the customer to understand and address complex data issues in creative ways while working internally to guide the Data Services Delivery team. Exceptional communication is a must and you should be fully adept in driving conversations forward with the executive leadership team. You’ll own customer relationships for our Data Services vertical and will be integral in the execution of data deliveries to meet customers' needs. You should be able to understand data at a detailed level, drive the execution of the project and manage customer expectations. Â
This role is a mix of customer advocacy, consultative sales, and project management, so an ability to move between strategic and tactical will be paramount to your success. An analytical approach will be required for ROI tracking and reporting, issue resolution, and risk mitigation. Exceptional communication skills will be key in this role, working not only with our customers but also in a cross-functional capacity with data services, product, product marketing, content, solutions architects, and sales across all our hubs: San Francisco, New York, London, and Hyderabad, India.
Experience and desire to work with international (specifically, Indian) teams is helpful. A sense of urgency and a strong ability to take the initiative will aid you in your success as you navigate the waters to meet multiple project deadlines. Equally as important is a team-player mentality and coachable approach. What will define your success in this role will be your ability to plan proactively, great communication, happy customers, and pleasant approach to getting the job done.
What you’ll be doing:
- Work directly with customers to understand business requirements and drivers around data.
- Work cross-functionally to evangelize customer needs with internal teams to ensure the right internal resources are assigned to projects while aligning and driving solutions that solve our customers’ business needs
- Manage customer and internal team expectations to ensure alignment and deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction
- Identify and resolve all project scope, issues, risks, and delivery schedules to ensure projects are properly planned, staffed, scheduled, and budgeted to drive success
- Identify opportunities to position additional product, platform and service offerings
What we’re looking for:
- 4-6 years of experience in an external client-facing role in a SaaS environment
- 4+ years of project management/engagement management experience
- A PMP certification is not required but preferred
- Must have led multiple enterprise customer engagements in parallel
- Experience leading and facilitating customer discovery and project meetings
- Skilled leadership in running requirements definition and workshops
- Experience designing documentation and configuring solutions
- Data analysis expertise (MDM, Predictive, Sales and Marketing data specialist, etc.) with the understanding of core Data Management concepts of data quality, data enrichment and data governance
- Experience with and excitement around understanding and documenting customer business and technical requirements related to data deliverables.
- A quick learner with technical acumen and the desire to become an expert in Demandbase services, products and platforms
- Able to understand the economics of the customer engagement, and effectively define and manage project scope
