Overview of the Engagement Specialist

The Engagement Specialist will report to the Member Engagement team and will be tasked with contacting eligible health plan members to educate them on Wayspring's service offerings and ongoing engagement with the Member throughout the program. The ideal candidate will be a highly personable and professional with excellent communication skills. This individual should be located in the Indianapolis, IN area to primarily support our members in Indiana, with additional support of other markets as needed.

Responsibilities of the Engagement Specialist
  • Conduct text and telephonic outreach to identified members as prioritized by our EHR
  • Conduct outreach to providers, both telephonically and in-person, to secure member referrals
  • Successfully contact members and provide them with an educational overview of Wayspring's service offerings
  • Secure verbal and written consent, and obtaining appropriate paperwork for services including consent to clinic services and release of information forms from members to participate in Wayspring's services
  • Provide on-going engagement to members both telephonically and in-person
  • Incorporate recovery support themes into engagement
  • Regularly review member profile for SDoH and clinical updates
  • Provide rotating after-hours and on-call support
  • Initiate creative strategies to facilitate member contact, including some in-person opportunities
  • Maintain performance accountability around member enrollment and participation and achieve performance targets
  • Adhere to Wayspring information security and privacy requirements
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an outreach role, with preferred experience around telephonic outreach
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented and self-driven with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability working in a matrixed environment
  • The ability to communicate effectively and persuasively is required
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills, and effective presentation skills
  • Experience with CRM platforms or Electronic Health Record systems is preferred
  • Ability to travel as business needs require (Up to 50%)
