Job Description

This position requires an individual with strong technical skills relating to process control systems. The individual will need to support customers throughout the life cycle of project work. This will include providing hardware and software engineering, system start-up, and customer training. The customers may be both external and internal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Takes ownership of technical tasks with direction from a Lead Engineer
  • Analyzes customer's requirements to determine the optimal control system solution and determines applicable hardware and software control configuration/architecture
  • Assists with the conceptual hardware & software systems design, determination of control system strategy to meet customers' requirements while complying with industry codes/standards and assure that personnel/machinery safety practices are implemented
  • Performs software development and design of custom application software
  • Oversee integration of 3rd party hardware and control systems
  • Write technical specifications and project reports as required
  • Visit 3rd party suppliers and/or panel shops to assess progress, provide technical assistance and carry out inspections
  • Assists with the technical planning and direction of internal and customer system testing
  • Takes ownership of issues, capable of engaging all levels of the organization to drive issues to resolution
  • Provide on-site control system commissioning as required
  • Communicates in a professional manner
  • Effectively manages their own natural reactions so there are no behaviors getting in the way of their effectiveness
  • Self-starter and ability to complete tasks independently, on time
  • Team player with the ability to integrate with other team project members
  • Acts as a leader in diverse settings and company

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline
  • 2+ years' experience of process control system applications throughout the project lifecycle from initial design concepts through to installation and subsequent client support.
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation Products hardware and software product suites (ControlLogix, Logix 5000, FT View, FT Historian and FT VantagePoint.) experience.
  • Technical writing capabilities
  • Presentation skills
